Site system change - July 10th, 2007

After some suggestions for site improvements, I started to try and code a new system for the website. Unfortunately, I ran in to several problems when coding the new system, so I simply changed the site in to a wiki system.

This will allow easier user submissions of scripts and help pages, and will stop me having to spend the next six months ironing the bugs out of any self coded program. Registration is required to edit or add anything (including files).

New server - May 4th, 2007

Heh, first news in quite a while. Ok, today the server hosting rachelp.org (as well as some other sites and services) was moved on to an entirely new server (still in the same location). The power of the new server is over three times that of the old server, so dynamic content should generate much faster. Since there was a nice big change to the host, please report any problems using this site to me (pepolez) on IRC or via private message on the Racbot forums.

Back to normal - August 2nd 2006

RacHelp is now back on its normal servers and the site should be now completely functional. Thanks to Phoenix Systems for providing the hosting while I moved houses and thanks to acdtrp for paying for the hosting :)

Site downtime - April 28th 2006

I apologise for the downtime of the site yesterday and today. The downtime was caused by a severed fibre link between our phone post and the exchange, which meant we (plus several other people) had no dialtone and no voltage on the line for the duration of the outage.

Bugtracker added - March 21st 2006

A bugtracker has been added to the site for reporting of bugs in third party modules and scripts as well as the stable and development releases of the Racbot core. To prevent abuse, registration is required to post on the bugtracker and a valid email address MUST be used.

Download links fixed - March 7th 2006

I apologise for the problems with downloads. My other site which many of the download links were referring to was taken out of its CMS (content management system) and put into a series of SSI enabled XHTML pages (much like this site). This made all of the download links done by PHP scripts invalid.

Additionally, I found a few typos in the download links, and these have also been fixed

Download size added - March 12th 2005

Today I added a download size for downloads. This was achieved through the use of SSI directives with the exception of externally hosted downloads, which were manually edited (and therefore may become out of date). Hopefully a download counter will be added later today
